Sylvia May is an artist celebrated for her captivating pet portraits and the iconic Phoenix Mural at JOLT Gloucester. With a passion for painting animals, she primarily works in acrylics, though her skills also extend to drawing, mixed media, and Photoshop. Her creative journey started early, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree after studying art through GCSE, A-Level, and an Art and Design Foundation Diploma.

Her talent for innovative design was recognised when a sustainable, repairable trainer she created was shortlisted for an RSA Student Design Award.

In 2023, she made her mark on the Cheltenham Paint Festival, painting a large mural of her sausage dog, Mochi, at the Town Centre East Car Park.
